The Old School Yard is the London Bridge venue that already looks like a party before anyone arrives: a cocktail bar under festoon lights, a heated front terrace, and five private karaoke rooms upstairs. Hire an area, hire a room, or take the whole place for the night.
We host hen dos, milestone birthdays, leaving drinks, team nights and the odd product launch, for groups from four to a few hundred. Tell us the date and the headcount and we will tell you what fits.
- Exclusive venue hire The whole bar, terrace and karaoke rooms for 50 to 250 guests. Enquire and we build the night around you.
- Area hire A dedicated section of the bar for groups of 30 to 150, on a minimum spend instead of a hire fee.
- Private karaoke rooms Five rooms for 2 to 20 people, no hire fee, thousands of songs. Book two side by side for a bigger crowd.
- Free table bookings Groups of 4 or more can reserve a table inside or on the terrace for nothing, and stay until close.
Hen Party London Bridge
A hen do at The Old School Yard runs itself. Start with cocktails on the terrace, move to a booth when the group is complete, then head upstairs for two hours in a private karaoke room where the bride does Beyoncé and nobody outside can hear. The bar is right there when the session ends.
Want more structure? Our two-hour cocktail masterclass pairs with a karaoke room for the full hen package, and hens go free for cocktail classes with groups of ten or more. Fancy dress is welcome. Team sports shirts are not.
Birthday Party Venue London Bridge
Turning 21, 30, 40 or none of your business? Book a free table for the group, add a karaoke room for the hour when everyone is warmed up, and let the bar do the rest. Bigger birthday? Hire an area so the party has its own corner of the room, with a bar tab if you are feeling generous.
We are open Tuesday to Saturday from 5:30pm and Fridays and Saturdays run late, so a birthday that starts after work still gets a proper night.

- 2 to 20 people who want to sing. A private karaoke room, two-hour sessions, minimum spend on drinks instead of a hire fee.
- 30 to 150 people. Area hire: Book a dedicated area or the whole venue for groups of 30–200. Available with 1 week's notice. Minimum spend from £450.
- 50 to 250 people. Exclusive hire: Hire the entire venue for your event. Minimum 50 guests, up to 400. Requires 14 days advance notice.

Is there a hire fee?
Not for tables or karaoke rooms. Tables are free to book. Karaoke rooms and area hire work on a minimum spend on drinks, so the money goes on the night rather than the room. Exclusive hire of the whole venue is priced per event once we know your date, numbers and what you want from the night.
How far ahead do I need to book?
Tables and karaoke rooms can be booked right up to the day. Area hire: Book a dedicated area or the whole venue for groups of 30–200. Available with 1 week's notice. Minimum spend from £450. Exclusive hire: Hire the entire venue for your event. Minimum 50 guests, up to 400. Requires 14 days advance notice.
What are the terms for area hire and exclusive hire?
Area hire:
- If you cancel within 7 days of your booking, we keep 100%.
- Cancel earlier than that and there is no charge.
Exclusive venue hire:
- Please give at least 7 days' notice to cancel a private hire. Cancellations within 7 days may be charged.
- If you cancel within 7 days of your booking, we keep 100%.
- Cancel earlier than that and there is no charge.
Can we have food?
Yes. Bar food from SMOK'D is served Thursday to Saturday and large groups can pre-order. Food is ordered separately and does not count towards a minimum spend.
Is there an age limit?
The venue is over 18s in the evening, including private hires. Bring ID.
